Everything is ready for the International Women's Day Hackathon 2022, which will land for the first time in Lugano from 18 to 20 March 2022. The event is organised in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana, SUPSI Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI), IDSIA, Lugano Living Lab and NNAISENSE.

The Teens in AI initiative is preparing the fifth International Women's Day Hackathon 2022 to celebrate International Women's Day. The goal is to further teen's engagement in Artificial Intelligence.

The three-day event will be held on East Campus Lugano from 18 March at 4:30 pm.

The Teens In AI initiative, launched at the AI for Good Global Summit at the United Nations in May 2018, aims to inspire the next generation of researchers, entrepreneurs, and ethical AI leaders. It gives teenagers early access to artificial intelligence developed and deployed for social good. The programme creates a platform for people aged 12-18 to explore AI through a mix of hackathons, accelerators and Teens in AI boot camps, along with expert guidance, talks, company tours, workshops and networking opportunities.

The initiative is open to teenagers who endorse the project's mission of promoting gender diversity in the tech industry.
