DOAJ Switzerland Community Webinar

Research Service

Date: 22 March 2023 / 12:00 - 13:00

The University Library Lugano is pleased to promote the upcoming DOAJ Switzerland Community Webinar on Wednesday, 22nd March 2023, from 12pm to 1pm.
This webinar will provide attendees with an overview of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and how it is used by researchers, librarians, institutions and organisations worldwide. The webinar will explore the process of DOAJ indexing, from when a journal applies to its acceptance, and how DOAJ contributes to the current and future global Open Access (OA) landscape.
Throughout the webinar, the speakers will discuss the way forward, and how DOAJ and the community of librarians, teachers and researchers in Switzerland can work together towards the common goal of immediate and free access to research worldwide. DOAJ supports the evaluation of Gold OA funding requests for scientific articles at USI, and is financially supported by the USI Libraries.
The University Library Lugano believes that this webinar will be of value to all interested individuals, particularly researchers, librarians, teachers, and students who are committed to advancing the cause of open access to scientific research. Webinar participation requires registration.
