On behalf of the federal government, the SNSF is launching another call for SNSF Advanced Grants in 2023. More information will follow soon.
The SNSF Advanced call is aimed at researchers who intended to apply for an ERC Advanced Grant. This call is aimed at established researchers with an outstanding track-record over the last 10 years. It is open to researchers of any nationality from any discipline and topic.
Advanced grants fund bottom-up, high-risk/high-gain projects conducted in Switzerland.
Duration: max. 5 years
Budget: max. 2.175 mio CHF. Budget covers applicant’s salary, personnel costs, equipment and travel costs, consummables. (TBC)

November 2023: Opening call
Mid December: pre-registration
January 2024: Submission deadline
November 2024: Based on final ranking / budget, SteCo formulates funding proposal for presiding board
December 2024: Send out decision
01 January 2025: Earliest project start
