To help current students and recent graduates navigate the world of work, several USI Alumni shared their career paths and career story. Here the story of Yashar Yektajo, Founder & Architect of Yektajo Architects in Baja California Sur (Mexico). USI Degree: Master in Architecture, 2017.

How did you start your career?

Yashar Yektajo was born in 1993 in Tehran (Iran). After living in México, Switzerland and Holland, he graduated in 2017 at Accademia di architettura Mendrisio.

In 2017 he opened his own architecture practice Yektajo Architects.
Since then, he has been involved in various projects, primarily focusing on residential and touristic developments across the Americas. Notable projects include the House in Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico in 2017 (P1, P2) and the Paradero Hotel in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico in 2018 (P3, P4, P5), in collaboration with Ruben Valdez (AAM 2011).
