The call for proposals for the 2025 Research Prize has the theme:
“New insights into the structure and function of the metagenome with potential for medical therapy or diagnostics”
“New insights into the structure and function of the human metagenome with potential medical applications in therapeutics or diagnostics”
Eligibility:
- Outstanding young scientific researcher from the field of life sciences (e.g., bioinformatics, systems biology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, biotechnology, etc.)
- Must live/work in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland
- Should not be older than 35 years
- Strong academic record with outstanding publications
Funding and Duration:
- Prize: EURO 10,000
- Duration: award will be presented in January 2025
Timeline of the Call:
- Application deadline extended to October 15, 2024
- Award to be given in January 2025 in Klosters, Switzerland
