Monday 15 June 2026, the conference STEM the Bullying: The European Dialogue will take place in Bern, organised by the Academic Parity Movement (APM) as part of its sixth annual event. The event, hosted by Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), aims to provide a forum for discussion and reflection at European level on the phenomenon of bullying and harassment in the academic environment.

The conference brings together experts – researchers, representatives from funding agencies, university administrators and policymakers – with the aim of systematically addressing the structural roots of misconduct and its consequences for individual well-being and scientific progress, and to create safer and more inclusive research environments, to remove barriers related to harassment, and ensure that talent can express itself freely, allowing scientific innovation to flourish unhindered.

The programme includes plenary sessions with internationally renowned speakers where participants will share original perspectives on current challenges and explore concrete strategies for transforming academic culture.
