  • Call for the Shadowing Grant 2019
    From Monday January 27 to Friday February 28, 2020, USI Lugano
    USI women researchers who are enrolled in the Mentoring Programme "Women's Academic Careers" have the opportunity to participate to the Call for the Shadowing Grant.

  • Women in Academia Support Lunch

    Meeting and discussion for all USI female PhD students and researchers. Programme of the meeting:
    • Presentation of the USI Mentoring programme
    • Presentation of an experience of a mentor-mentee pair and of a shadowing path
    • Launch of the call for the Shadowing grant 2020
    • Presentation of workshops and events organized by the Equal Opportunities Service in 2020.

    Workshop addressed to academic and administrative staff that are involved in selection and recruitment processes, held by Marianne Schmid Mast, full professor of Organizational Behavior at the University of Lausanne.
  • Ragazze e informatica - Avanti! Giornata Nuovo futuro
    Thursday, November 14, 2019, Room 402, USI Lugano
    Event organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Informatics and the Associazione Nuovo Futuro, aimed at promoting the studies in Informatics among middle school female students in Ticino.

  • A GIRLS THING: BUSINESS & FINANCE. Workshops (It/En) scheduled for the Long Night of Careers @ USI
    Thursday, November 14,  21.00-22.00, Room A-34, USI, Lugano,
    Does gender affect career prospects in the business sectors? Are women-led companies really more innovative? Why are there still few women in the investment sector? Explore these and other questions with three role models from the Swiss business and finance sectors: Cristina Gaggini, Director of Economiesuisse for the French-speaking Switzerland, and one of the inspiring women selected for the 100 women and thousands of others project; Patrizia Rivera Mariotti, member of the Committee of 100 Women in finance; Marialuisa Parodi, Chief Investment Officer at Soave Asset Management; President of FAFTPlus and member of 100 women in Finance. For registrations follow the indications to the following link.
  • 100 WOMEN AND A THOUSANDS OF OTHERS

    Launch event for the 100 WOMEN AND A THOUSANDS OF OTHER campaign. It will be an opportunity to get to know_the women participating in the campaign, inspiring women, active in fields that go from art, to technology and law.   • Festa delle famiglie USI-SUPSI 2019
    Saturday, October 12, 2019, 11.30-16.30, USI, Lugano
    A fun day, organized with the SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service, for USI and SUPSI staff and students accompanied by their loved ones, adults and children, to enjoy free time together, boosting a community spirit and a sense of belonging.   • The rights of LGBT* people
    Thursday, October 3, 2019, 18.00 - 20:00, Aula magna USI
    Presentation of the brochure on LGBT* legal rights, “I diritti delle persone LGBT*”, created by the Law Clinic of the University of Geneva, translated and adapted for Canton Ticino by the Human Rights Foundation. The event, organised by the Human Rights Foundation in collaboration with USI Equal Opportunities Service, with SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service, and with the Delegate for Equal Opportunities of Canton Ticino, will offer the_opportunity to reflect on the rights that have been acquired and on the steps that still need to be taken to protect the Swiss LGTB* community. The event will feature guests from the academic, institutional, legal and activism sectors. See the detailed program
     
  • Premio Ermiza 2019
    Saturday, September 21, 2019, 4.00 pm, Cinema Lux, Massagno
    Award ceremony. The Ermiza award, promoted by the Commissione consultiva per le pari opportunità fra i sessi, in collaboration with the SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service, the USI Equal Opportunities Service and the Consiglio del pubblico CORSI, awards the best information and in-depth works carried out on the radio, television and web of Italian-speaking Switzerland, and broadcast between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2018.   • Una Emilie Kempin-Spyri, tutte Emilie

    Event organized by the Law Institute, in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Service, in preparation for the feminist strike of June 14th.
