How did you start your career?

After my master degree I went for one year in Berlin. I wanted to do an experience abroad and I took the occasion to learn a new language. Upon returning in Switzerland, I started an internship in Estée Lauder Companies, Zurich, as a product marketing trainee. Later I was hired by the agency Kingfluencers AG, where I work at the moment as a Campaign Manager.

Why did you choose a career at Kingfluencers?

I took some time at doing some research online about the company, and I was positively impressed by their business, but also by their young and dynamic mentality. I was intrigued by influencer marketing and wanted to learn more about this special industry.

What is your current role/duties?

I am responsible to manage the whole process of influencer marketing campaigns on social media for our clients, from the sourcing of the influencers, to the going live of campaigns and to the reporting. Working in an agency means managing both the relationship with clients and influencers.

In your opinion, what are the qualities necessary for a successful career at Kingfluencers?

Key factors are flexibility, a problem solving mentality, and a project management attitude. Furthermore, being up to dates with the latest trends in marketing and specifically on social media.

What positive aspects and qualities meant most to you during the study programme you attended?

The high quality of the classes, which are never too big and crowded, is definitely a value added to the teaching quality of USI. Also the fact that USI is very oriented towards presentations is something very useful for entering the job market.

What competences and skills acquired in your USI Study Program have been useful/are useful to your professional career?

  • Being organized,
  • time management,
  • effective communication,
  • being part of a team.

What is your advice to USI students entering the job market?

Entering the job market right after university can be daunting, and it's true that initial expectations don't always match reality. Don't lose hope, though! Be persistent in your research and applications. Remember, even going abroad for a job can be a great option. Especially in those early career years, focus on experiences that will be valuable investments in your long-term professional growth.
