A tale of conflict and danger set in present day Naples. Like a modern Antigone, social worker Giovanna – founder of the children’s centre “la Masseria”, where mothers bring their children to escape from the degradation and mentality of organized crime – is on the frontline of the daily war against criminal mentality, confronted with a moral choice that can destroy the sense of her work and her life forever. A young woman, Maria, whose husband is a hitman for the mob, seeks help at the centre, creating turmoil and discussions among the “normal” mothers. Maria is the ‘intruder’ in this story, and it will be up to Giovanna to decide who really needs more help.
