Social Engineering in the digital world
Technology is keeping us connected with the people we share important parts of our lives, but it brings us closer to people that may not have good intentions towards us. Everyday every place on the internet, even social media feeds, may host many fake news and scams, which can be fought by doing proper fact-checking and knowing how scams (e.g., trap phishing, fake profiles) are tailored so that some actions can be taken in advance. With technology becoming more and more sophisticated, it is becoming harder to exploit code weakness, so Social Engineering takes the field.
