SXS: We foster careers in space from Switzerland

USI's Career Service is the career partner of Space Exchange Switzerland (SXS), the new national platform for the promotion of space in Switzerland funded by the Swiss Space Office (SSO) of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
The SXS consortium comprises five partners: EPFL Lausanne, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW and USI.
The role of USI's Career Service is to support young talents who are studying or have studied at Swiss universities to become the future generation of space experts.

Interested in an internship at the European Space Agency (ESA)?
Are you studying IT, engineering, law, economics, communication, biomedicine, architecture?
ESA offers internship opportunities of three to six months to students preferably in the last or second-last year of a master's degree in scientific and non-scientific technical fields. For more information about ESA and its programmmes, see the attachment on the right.

If you are hired for an internship you can apply for a SXS/Movetia Mobility Scholarship at ESA
For this internship, SXS and Movetia provide scholarships to students from Swiss universities, which are combined with the internship salary offered by ESA.

Chloé Carrière

SXS and Movetia are giving the first Swiss European Mobility Programme Grant for Traineeship.
The grant goes to Chloé Carrière, Master Student in Management of Space Technologies at EPFL, who will carry out her internship at ESA-ESRIN, in Rome, Italy.

Good luck to Chloé, may her experience encourage more students to achieve their space dreams!

Mariasole Aurora Agazzi

The second scholarship for a 6-month internship at ESA-European Space Agency goes to Mariasole Aurora Agazzi, a student from Ticino at ETH Zurich, who will be working at ESTEC in the Netherlands on GAIA Scientific Communication.
