SXS: We foster careers in space from Switzerland
USI Career Service is the career partner of Space Exchange Switzerland (SXS), the new national platform for the promotion of space in Switzerland, funded by the Swiss Space Office (SSO) of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SEFRI).
The SXS consortium comprises five partners: EPFL Lausanne, ETH Zurich, UZH Zurich, FHNW Brugg and USI Lugano.
The role of USI Career Service is to attract young talents who are studying or have studied at Swiss universities to start a career in the space field.

ESA has reported a 173% increase in internship applications from Swiss students in the last 12 months, attributed to the efforts of the USI Career Service. The "Swiss model" has been recommended to all ESA members as a best practice.

As a USI student you can also count on the help and advice of USI Alumnus Camillo Malnati (Master's in Software & Data Engeneering, 2020) who participated in the ESA Young Graduate Trainee Program (YGT) and went on to a career in space.
SPACE INTERNSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS
If you study at a university or professional school in Switzerland and are selected for a foreign-based space internship, you can apply to the USI Career service for a Mobility SXS/Movetia Scholarship.

Already 41 students have completed their Internship @ Space companies @ ESA and @ NASA/JPL.
All 41 students gave an overall evaluation of 4,3 / 5.
21 students rated the overall experience as excellent.
