Long Night of Careers 2019

Description:

The Long Night of Careers (LNoC) is an event with a varied and interactive program related to the career topic, organized by the Career Service in partnership with employers, professionals, alumni and professors.

The event, targeted to all students and Alumni of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral students of Swiss universities, allows to spend a whole evening focusing on their professional futures. The Long Night of Careers is the occasion to gather ideas, meeting potential employers in an informal setting, forging contacts and honing your candidature skills - in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Programme:

The 5th edition will take place on November 14, 2019, starting from 18.00, in 10 universities and academic institutions: Universität Zürich, FHS St. Gallen, Hochschule Luzern, ZHAW, Université de Genève, USI, SUPSI, HTW Chur, HES SO Valais, FHNW.

The evening will start with the Welcome Greetings of the Rector, Prof. Boas Erez and Marco Borradori, Mayor of the Lugano City and the Opening Panel "Making the best out of graduates in STEM and Humanities. The viewpoint of companies", moderated by Prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, Pro-Rector for Education and Students' Experience, USI.
The evening with continue with a Job Gallery Walk, Workshops, Round Tables, CV Checks, Dossier & Mock Interview Labs, Contests, but also Interactive Games and Food tasting together with companies to address the issues related to careers in a new way, direct and informal.
