Here the story of Andrea Martinotti, Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting & Assurance Services in Deloitte in Zurich (CH). USI Degree: Master in Management, 2017.

How did you start your career?

I started my career in Lugano after I came back from the Exchange Program in China. I did an internship in the consolidation and group reporting team of Bally / Jimmy Choo and Belstaff. After my internship I moved to Luxembourg working for PwC and only a year and half ago I decided to return back to Switzerland where I am currently working for Deloitte as an Assistant Manager.

Why did you choose a career in Deloitte?

I choose to work for Deloitte since it gives me the opportunity to work for different clients and it helps me to learn by being exposed to various engagements.

What is your current role/duties?

I am majorly focused on helping clients with complex accounting advisory services being implementation of new standards, accounting opinions & technical memos, standards conversions. Also, I am serving clients in case of disruptive events/deal advisory such as carve-out financial statements, IPO readiness, merger and acquisition.

In your opinion, what are the qualities necessary for a successful career in Deloitte?

Proactiveness and willingness to learn!
