Towards a plastic free USI

Within the project “SOSTA… towards a sustainable University”, USI has decided to drastically reduce the use of plastic by implementing some safeguard measures.
The aim of this campaign is in fact to reduce the use of plastic in all areas of administration and campus life.
Below is a series of concrete actions:
- the use of plastic dishes during events will be banned.
- coffee machines will gradually adopt only paper cups
- disposable plastic bags are no longer permitted
- document plastic sleeves will be slowly replace with paper ones
A step-by-step process involving the entire USI community towards a sustainable University to protect our planet.
