Innosuisse innovation projects

Research and Transfer Service

6 February 2018

Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, assumed the responsibilities of the former Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) on 1 January 2018. Under its new name and with a new organisational structure, it will continue to support science-based innovations in Switzerland.

From 1 February 2018 onwards it is possible to submit applications for innovation projects through the online application tool. The first funding decisions are expected to be made in March 2018.

Innosuisse helps to fund innovation projects carried out by companies, private or public organisations in cooperation with research institutions. Innosuisse covers the research partner’s salary and, under certain conditions, material costs as well as a contribution to overheads. The company should provide at least the same amount of funding and thus bears the costs for its project itself.

The project must meet a market need and provide economic benefits or create social value.
