The USI Career Service offers several tools to support your search, visit our dedicated page:

Difference between curricular and extracurricular internships

  • The curricular internship is part of your Master’s or Bachelor’s program and grants ECTS credits.
  • The extracurricular internship is not part of the study program and does not grant ECTS credits.

Registering an internship

  1. Check the guidelines and requirements for curricular internships
  1. Follow the procedure for registering your internship on Mobility Online
  1. Consult the documents, permits, and insurance for internships

Important note

  • To obtain ECTS credits, the curricular internship must be registered, approved by the Program Academic Tutor, and validated through the Mobility Online platform
  • It is necessary to register an extracurricular internship on Mobility Online only for one or more of the following reasons:
    • Obtain the internship agreement signed by the university
    • Request the internship certification letter, signed by the Career Service, confirming the relevance of the work experience within your academic path
    • Apply for the SEMP grant for internships abroad: if the requirements are met, you will be able to download the necessary documents to obtain the grant
