Start of the semester
- All the semester's courses have been created on iCorsi; each lecturer can already see his / her courses on his / her dashboard (if not, check that "All" is selected in the dropdown menu under "Course overview").
- Students will be automatically enrolled in courses on iCorsi on the basis of their registration on Gestu, Teaching or Segreteria Virtuale. Please, advise them to always keep the status of their course enrolment on these platforms up to date. However, it is still possible to manually add other participants on iCorsi (students or collaborators/assistants) by following the usual procedure: https://faq.icorsi.ch/enrol-user?lang=en.
- The new courses are currently hidden from students; we recommend that you make your courses visible (see https://faq.icorsi.ch/come-nascondere-il-corso?lang=en) before the start of the semester.
- If you want to import content and resources from last year's course into the new course, you can do so by following the usual procedure: https://faq.icorsi.ch/import-resource?lang=en. Last year's courses will all be hidden from students at the end of the examination session in September.

What's new in iCorsi
- Teachers' corner: a new section dedicated to USI lecturers and teaching assistants is now available on iCorsi. The first resources published are two online modules developed as part of the EASE project and a section with a series of useful tips for university teaching: https://www.icorsi.ch/course/index.php?categoryid=888.
- Flexible sections format: a new course format is available in iCorsi, which allows to create sub-sections within a course section (see https://faq.icorsi.ch/cambio-formato-corso?lang=en).
- Bulk actions: the possibility of deleting, moving or duplicating several resources or activities at once via the “Bulk actions” button has been added to iCorsi (see https://faq.icorsi.ch/come-posso-modificare-in-blocco-i-contenuti-del-mio-corso?lang=en).
- Board: a new activity has been added to iCorsi, allowing teachers to add a virtual board to their course where students can post content of different types (like Padlet). For more information: https://faq.icorsi.ch/che-cose-lattivita-board?lang=en and https://faq.icorsi.ch/come-creo-unattivita-board?lang=en.
- Amanote: the possibility for students to take notes and highlight available documents (slides, texts, videos) directly on the platform has been integrated into iCorsi. The icon to activate Amanote appears in each course next to each resource. For further information: https://faq.icorsi.ch/tag/amanote?lang=en.
- Brickfield: the possibility for students to convert files to other formats (e.g. text to audio, eBook or Braille) has been integrated into iCorsi in order to improve the accessibility of the platform. The icon to activate the possibility of format conversion appears in each course next to each resource.

Computer-based examinations in attendance
The course for computer-based examinations will be created on the exam.icorsi.ch platform, not on iCorsi. Lecturers who have indicated ‘Computer-based examination’ in the course description will be informed by email when the examination course is ready.
Anyone who needs help organising their computer-based exam is invited to notify eLab in good time via the Self-Service platform.

Other available tools
- Wooflash: the entire USI community has at its disposal licenses for Wooflash, an online platform that makes it possible to create educational content also with the help of generative AI (e.g., multiple-choice questions for quizzes). Those who would like to try it out can find more information here: https://faq.icorsi.ch/tag/wooflash?lang=en.
- Wooclap (www.wooclap.com): the entire USI community has at its disposal Wooclap, a software that allows you to add elements of interactivity to your presentations, thus improving the interaction with your students during a lecture or with your audience during a meeting. For more information: https://faq.icorsi.ch/tag/wooclap?lang=en.
- Prezi for MS Teams: Prezi has introduced some interesting new features, including Prezi Video, which allows you to integrate your Prezi presentation directly into a video lesson or video call, and can also be integrated with MS Teams. To use this and other features, you need a Pro license, which can be obtained (subject to availability) from the eLab ([email protected]).
- MindMeister and MeisterTask (www.mindmeister.com): it is a web platform for the collaborative creation of concept maps (MindMeister) and for the management of activities and projects (MeisterTask), available to USI lecturers and students. For further information: https://faq.icorsi.ch/tag/mindmeister?lang=en.
- ePortfolio (https://eportfolio.elearninglab.org): an e-portfolio platform that allows students to create, collect, organize, publish and share online documents of different types, supporting their reflective practice on what they learn in courses.
