Fee-based individual courses

The Laboratory of Modern Languages offers personalised one-to-one lessons in Italian, French, German, and English for academic and administrative staff seeking to enhance specific language skills through a learning pathway tailored to their individual goals and needs.

The lessons are designed around the individual needs of each participant and provide targeted support in achieving specific objectives, such as improving oral and written communication skills. The duration, content, and pace of the course are defined in agreement with the teaching staff, ensuring a flexible learning experience that fully meets the participant’s goals. Individual lessons are offered subject to the availability of the language lecturers at the LLM, and the related costs are covered by the requesting faculty, institute, or service. Lessons can take place either in person or online.

Individual lessons consist of weekly 60-minute sessions and are charged at CHF 225 per hour. You may choose a personalised course of varying length, comprising between 6 and 14 lessons, to be taken over the course of the semester.
