Health/Communication Psychologist Specialist
A health/communication psychologist is someone who works to help others understand more about medical treatment, healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and more. They focus primarily on strategic communication processes, the development of preventive campaigns, mediation, and managing processes that can have an overall impact on the health and wellbeing of the population. They typically work in hospitals, for governments, pharmaceutical companies, etc.

HR Specialist
A psychologist with a specialization in human resources —often referred to as an HR specialist—helps an employer find job candidates who are most qualified to meet the organization's needs. They recruit applicants, review resumes, conduct interviews, and perform background checks. They work on continuing the professional development of the employees. They work on employees’ career growth with training and development. They apply their knowledge on workplace behaviours and productivity in order to develop the business model, employee success and retention. They also work on the work environment and culture to build positive results.

HR Consultant
An HR consultant is usually responsible for ensuring an organisation’s capital serves the best interests of the company. The job duties/responsibilities of HR consultants often include: Advising management on the administration of human resources policies and procedures. Serving as internal consultants by analysing a company's current HR programs and recommending solutions. Developing, revising, and implementing HR policies

Academic Researcher, Ph.D
Researchers in academia conduct original academic research in the field of Psychology or other relevant related areas. PhD students typically carry out research projects towards a doctoral degree. They might be also involved in teaching support or teaching activities. Possible academic professional developments include roles such as post-doc researchers, assistant professors, lecturers, full professors and more.

Career Prospects as a Clinical Psychologist and/or Psychotherapist

Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist
An occupation as a clinical psychologist or a psychotherapist is another important placement for our graduates. Clinical psychologists assess, diagnose and treat individuals experiencing psychological distress and mental illness. Psychotherapists assess, diagnose mental illness and psychological distress, perform also psychotherapy and develop treatment plans. Clinical psychologists and psychotherapists often work in hospitals, mental health clinics, and private practice.

  • Becoming a Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist in Italy
    This Master's degree grants access to the Italian Psychological Professional Association Registry (Ordine degli Psicologi) and then to become a licensed clinical psychologist in Italy. The Master's programme offers numerous opportunities for internships with various partners in Switzerland and Italy. The students attend the internship during the two years of the Master and the internship is valid to be admitted to the final exam to become a licensed psychologist in Italy (see Decreto DM 554 06.06.2022, D. Interm. N567 20.06.2022, D. Interm n654 05.07.2022).
    Furthermore, this Master's Degree meets a requirement for admission to the Italian schools of psychotherapy.
     

  • Becoming a Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist in Switzerland
    The Master's Degree grants the possibility to access the mandatory full-time paid internship to become a licensed clinical psychologist in the health sector. The list of the clinical practices with the open positions for the internship is available on the website of the Dipartimento della sanità e della socialità, Divisione della salute pubblica (https://www4.ti.ch/dss/dsp/us/sportello/psicologi-e-psicoterapeuti-in-formazione/). After this training, you will be able to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Switzerland and you can work at Hospitals/Clinics administering psychological tests.
    The Master's Degree also grants the possibility to access the schools of psychotherapy in Switzerland.
     
  • Becoming a Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist in all the European Countries
    The Master Programme has also been included in the EuroPSY circuit and is fully recognized in all European Countries.
