Croce Rossa Ticino, established in 1996 as the Cantonal Association of the Swiss Red Cross, has grouped the four regional Ticinese sections covering the whole territory: Bellinzona, Leventina, Locarno and Sottoceneri.

The Section of the Sottoceneri, Volunteer Service is looking for volunteers with good knowledge about territory and Italian mother tongue to support children and young people of school age to integrate into the territory through the help of the study.

The commitment requires:

  • volunteering for the Together Center (after-school): individual follow-up or in a small group of elementary or middle school children, for different subjects and in-depth study of the Italian language; activities carried out at the CRSS headquarters or at the child's home; availability a couple of hours a week; Italian mother tongue.
  • volunteering for the migration sector (Paradise asylum seeker center or Cadro center): follow-up individually or in a small group of children from compulsory schools or adolescents attending a pre-traineeship or an apprenticeship, for various subjects and teaching of the Italian language; support in moving around the area and learning about the services offered; activity carried out at one of the centers; availability a couple of hours a week; Italian mother tongue; good knowledge of the territory
