External organizations
As part of its third mandate, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) is actively engaged in promoting dialogue with society, making a concrete contribution to the cultural, social, and economic development of the region. This commitment is reflected in various initiatives and projects that foster collaboration with actors outside the academic world, such as public institutions, international organizations, and cultural and social institutions.
Among these projects are activities coordinated by the International Relations and Study Abroad Service, which operates with a strong international and inclusive vocation.
In particular:
- InclUSIone is a program that promotes access to university for people from the asylum sector, contributing to the integration and realization of the potential of this particularly vulnerable group of students.
The program concurs to concretely realize the objectives set at both national and international level to improve access to tertiary education for refugees.
Detailed information about the InclUSIone program are available on the dedicated page.
- Scholars at Risk is an initiative that reflects USI’s commitment to protecting academic freedom by offering support to researchers who are threatened or persecuted in their countries of origin.
Detailed information about the Scholars at Risk program are available on the dedicated page.
