Admission

The number of places available is limited. Up to 60 students may be admitted into this programme.

The formal requirement for admission to the Master's degree in European studies in investor relations and financial communication is a Bachelor's degree, in the fields of Economics, Communication Sciences or other relevant disciplines.

The undergraduate degree obtained after a minimum of 3 years of study (180 ECTS) must satisfy the requirements for access to second-level academic studies in the awarding country. The degree has to be issued by a higher education institution, which is regularly accredited or recognized in the awarding country. The undergraduate degree must be obtained before 31 December.

Students who obtain one of the following Bachelor Degrees are automatically eligible to be admitted to the Master programme:

• Bachelor Degree in Communication Science or in Economics at USI
• Bachelor Degree in Economia dei mercati e degli intermediari finanziari, Scienze linguistiche e Scienze linguistiche per le relazioni internazionali at Università Cattolica dal Sacro Cuore with a minimum weighted average of 23/30 and at least 110 ECTS.

Language Requirements  

English 

International students and candidates with a Swiss Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a Swiss University must demonstrate their competency in the use of the English language through one of the following certificates, issued starting from January 1, 2020: 

Exemptions based on prior study 

The following applicants are not required to undertake English language tests. 

1. Applicants who completed their university studies from one of the following national education systems: Australia, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States of America. 
2. Applicants who completed a degree program entirely taught in the English language: they will need to upload to the online application an official statement from their University indicating that English is the language of instruction. However, some Italian Representations (e.g. in Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan) may require a language proficiency certificate. You will need to meet the Consulate/Embassy’s requirement to obtain your student visa. 
3. Applicants who completed a degree in Scienze linguistiche e Scienze linguistiche per le relazioni internazionali at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
4. Applicants who completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communication or a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Università della Svizzera italiana.
5. As an alternative to the above-listed certificates, applicants can take the Admission Test offered by Selda, the language center of Università Cattolica (check the dates)

Italian

Students must demonstrate their competency in the use of the Italian language through one of the following certificates, issued starting from January 1, 2020:

• CELI 3 – B2;
•  CILS 2 – B2;
• PLIDA – B2;
• cert.it – B2;

Or through one of the following requirements:

• a degree programme entirely taught in the Italian language
• Italian citizenship

As an alternative to the above-listed certificates, applicants can take the online evaluating test of Italian proficiency offered by Selda, the language center of Università Cattolica.

In case a certificate is not provided, students will have to include the subject called "Italian for foreigners” in their study plan and take it in the first year of studies.
