Specialisation in Media Studies and Journalism
This specialisation offers training in the functioning of media such as press, radio, TV, but also the Internet and social media. It explains the origin of phenomena such as fake news and the deep mechanisms that drive the media, including global challenges and new modes of production, distribution and fruition linked to digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence. Through the specialisation courses, students acquire a solid theoretical foundation, but also gain practical experience, producing audiovisuals and podcasts, learning how to write for the web and newspapers, or manage social media. Students are also brought into direct contact with the realities they are studying, through masterclasses with professionals and experts in the media field who help them to interpret the realities of working in the media world and to make the best use of digital technologies. The aim is to train media professionals able to work in the world of audiovisual production and journalism, but also in public institutions and private companies operating in the communication sector or in other sectors, in the field of media relations.
Director of the specialisation: Prof. Colin Porlezza ([email protected])
