International Relations and Study abroad Service

15 July 2019

The academic year has ended and exchange students hosted at USI are returning to their home countries after their mobility period at USI, while future USI outgoing students are getting ready for their experience abroad. To bid them farewell the International Relations team organized a “Come and Go Apero” at the local Lido, on the shores of the Ceresio lake.

The event took place on 27 May. The weather was once again bad – this year luck is definitely not on our side – nevertheless this was a great opportunity for students to share their stories, meet other exchange students and ask some practical questions to the International Relations team or to fellow students. It was also the opportunity to become part of a network of students sharing the same experience.

Future outgoing students, going on mobility during the Academic Year 2019-2020, were also invited to meet their fellow colleagues from partner universities.

During the aperitif, the International Relations team invited participants to join a round of Bingo game, answering trivia questions about USI, life in Switzerland or fellow colleagues. Three prizes were withdrawn among those who managed to complete all questions.

As a small farewell suprise gift, incoming students also received a picture taken during the ice-breaker activity back in February, when they had to present themselves through pictures.

The International Relations team wishes all USI exchange students the best in their future endeavors! We hope you have enjoyed your experience at USI!
