The Foundation for Technology Assessment TA-SWISS is a Centre of Competence of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences, based on a mandate in the Swiss federal law on research, devoted to technology assessment.
An interdisciplinary study will assess the benefits and risks of using medical data for health-related purposes. It considers advancements in data collection technology and the potential of Swiss data in an international context. The study aims to determine how to maximize societal benefits at a reasonable cost in research, disease screening, and prevention.

Funding and duration
The budget ranges from CHF 100,000 to 160,000.
Implementation begins in September 2024, lasting approximately 12 to 15 months.

Timeline of the call
Project outlines (4 pages max) submission:  March 28, 2024.
Decision about selected teams: end of April, 2024
Selection of teams invited to submit the detailed proposals: June 7, 2024.
Start of the project: September, 2024
