A new collaboration agreement has been officially signed, in addition to the one governing traditional students’ exchange, with the prestigious Tecnológico de Monterrey. This innovative agreement, called Advanced Master Placement Programme, allows students enrolled in a four-year bachelor’s degree at their home university (in this case, students from Tecnológico de Monterrey) to spend a semester at USI and attend selected courses from a specific master’s programme (Master in Management and Informatics). Afterward, they return to their home university to complete their bachelor’s degree. Thanks to this agreement, they can then apply for admission to the full master’s programme at USI and, if accepted, complete it in three semesters instead of four, as the courses taken during the mobility period will be recognised.

The structure of the programme can be illustrated as shown in the table above. The first edition will start in the 2026/2027 academic year.

It is worth noting that Tecnológico de Monterrey is one of the leading academic institutions in Latin America, with a strong focus on technology and innovation. Founded in 1943, the university has earned a reputation for academic excellence and is committed to training leaders with a global vision. According to the 2024 QS ranking, it ranks 4th among universities in Latin America and the Caribbean and 184th worldwide.
