D-1025-04 "Circle of trust", Student Association for Ukraine

At its sitting on October 27, the Student Council decided to support the event “Circle of Trust” organized by the student association Student Association for Ukraine with funding of CHF 1,775.45.

In cooperation with the Office of International Relations, SAFU continues providing psycho-social support to students with refugee and asylum-seeker status in Switzerland who entered USI as regular students or audit students. The aim is to create a safe and inclusive space for students facing hardship due to displacement and resettlement by means of art workshops, activities reflecting complex group dynamics, open format discussions on the topic of interest to a target audience in a secular format, body-movement workshops stimulating awareness of the body language and peri-/-interpersonal space and its application to reciprocal trust-enabling communication.

Details of the decision
The Student Council allocates a credit of CHF 1'775.45.- as originally requested from the student association.
The decision was taken unanimously by the Student Council. The funds will be made available in the form agreed upon with the University when the actual expenses related to the project are incurred.

Deadline for the Student Referendum
The deadline to launch a Student Referendum against this Decision is 13th November.
