The Student Council, in its meeting of March 20, decided to support with a funding of CHF 1'949.- the events organized by the student association AIESEC:

Global Village: Autumn Edition
A cultural exchange event where students showcase traditions, cuisine, and performances from around the world, promoting diversity, inclusion, and sustainability in line with AIESEC’s SDGs.

Treasure Hunt with AIESEC
A fun and interactive treasure hunt through the city of Lugano, where teams navigate designated spots, receive clues, and learn about international exchange and volunteering opportunities, combining exploration, teamwork, and discovery.

Gala Night: Autumn+Spring Edition
Structured evening event celebrating semester achievements through presentations, interactive moments, and value-based recognitions focused on integrity, diversity, sustainability, and excellence. Includes reflection and participant engagement activities. Concludes with a networking session to encourage exchange and connection-building.

Get To Know AIESEC: Autumn+Spring Edition
Evento di networking informale per incontrarsi, socializzare e scoprire opportunità. Permette di interagire direttamente ed esplorare temi come leadership, scambio interculturale ed esperienze internazionali. Si svolge dopo le lezioni e include un aperitivo.

Iftar Dinner
An intercultural event during Ramadan that brings students together to share Iftar, learn about traditions, and foster dialogue. It includes a cultural introduction, opportunities for sharing and reflection, in collaboration with the League of Muslims in Ticino.

Sales and Data Skills Workshop
A hands-on workshop that bridges academic knowledge and professional application, with a focus on sales strategy and data interpretation. It combines theory with interactive exercises, including simulations and problem-solving activities.

Details of the decision:
The Student Council allocates a credit of CHF 1'949.- out of the CHF 2’632.20 requested. The decision was taken unanimously by the Student Council. The funds will be made available in the form agreed upon with the University when the actual expenses related to the project are incurred.

Deadline for the Student Referendum
The deadline to launch a Student Referendum against this Decision is 9 April 2026.
