The Virginia Tech Global Entrepreneur Partnership offers elite student teams and university representatives from all over the world a chance to collaborate, form partnerships, and build their global networks. The event is hosted by the Outreach and International Affairs service, contributing to VT’s global presence, and VT KnowledgeWorks.

Student teams will present their business concepts for a grand prize as they compete in the Global Entrepreneur Challenge. This challenge celebrates the energy and creativity of university students and their important contributions to the global economy, and encourages them to develop their entrepreneurial ideas.

During their stay, students will enjoy presentation coaching with local, technology-based American companies, entrepreneur panels, site visits, and other educational components, lodging provided by local host families, Virginia Tech campus exposure and tours, socials and meal celebrations, and the opportunity to build a global network with other university students.

Each university or institution that is sending a student team to compete in the Global Entrepreneurship Challenge is expected to send at least one accompanying faculty or staff member to participate in the Global Roundtable. While in Blacksburg, attendees will have the unique opportunity to participate in university-to-university networking opportunities hosted by Virginia Tech, and to gather for cooperative brainstorming sessions and best practices exchange.

Deadline to submit application: April 5, 2019
