Fees and grants
Tuition fees for the Master's degrees amount to CHF 4,000 per semester. Applicants whose official residence was in Switzerland or Liechtenstein at the time of the final high school exam (Maturità) pay a reduced semester fee of CHF 2,000.
Tuition fees are payable at the beginning of each term, by the deadline indicated on the invoice; fee payment is an essential condition for matriculating or renewing one's enrolment.
- For the academic year 2019/2020, the Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of the Università della Svizzera italiana will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of CHF 4'000 each. The merit-based grants are given to the students admitted to the first year of a USI Master programme starting in September 2019.
Ente Turistico del Luganese scholarship for the USI Master in International Tourism
Ente Turistico del Luganese, the Destination Management Organization of Lugano, has decided to grant one scholarship exclusively for the USI Master in International Tourism.
Swiss and international students who are admitted to the first year of the USI Master in International Tourism starting in September 2019 can apply for this scholarship granted by Ente Turistico del Luganese.
The Ente Turistico del Luganese scholarship for the selected USI Master in International Tourism student corresponds to the annual tuition fee and is renewable for another year.
Selection will be based on the academic merit achieved, the family income of the applicant, and the applicant's motivation letter. During the course of studies, the student who will benefit from this scholarship will contribute with a study or a thesis on the theme "Lugano Region as a tourism destination".
