Mandate for case studies on the Corporation within university courses

Student Corporation

9 April 2020

Decision nr. D-0420-03

The Student Council, at its meeting of 7 April 2020, has decided – in the name of the Corporation itself – to take action with a number of course instructors at USI to assign students case studies on the Corporation, in particular on possible strategies and communication. The Council supports this project with a view of improving the Corporation's actions and because it believes in the skills and abilities of students.

Details of the Decision
Besides the support in terms of management and communication provided by the University, the Corporation does not have the resources to develop and implement a potential strategy of systematic, continuous and at the same time sustainable action and communication, for the purpose of raising awareness among the student body about the existence and role of the Corporation and thus root it as much as possible in the student "fabric". Hence the proposal to involve students by focusing on the educational context. The case studies would be proposed within individual courses, such as Corporate strategy or Social Media Management.

The project of the Student Council expresses first of all the trust in USI students: according to the motto "For the students. With students", with this project students invest in students, in their ability and creativity, underlining how much they believe in the training that is given at USI. This is in line with the Corporation's objective to contribute to the cohesion of the University and its image. Involving students in the considerations related to the actions and communication of the Corporation will also help in itself to make it perceived a little more as a "common heritage" of the student body. Last but not least, the ideas that will come from the students will help to concretely improve the action and communication of the Corporation.

Decision procedure
The Decision was taken by the Student Council unanimously.
