Policy Evaluation Applied to Development - Examples in Health from the World Bank
Dr. Laura Di Giorgio is an economist with more than a decade of experience conducting health system research and supporting reforms in the health sector. She holds a PhD in Economics from USI (USI Alumna 2013) and completed a Post-graduate Fellowship in Global Health at the University of Washington, United States. Her work spans through different regions, including Europe, Eastern & Southern Africa, South Asia and currently Latin America. She currently serves as a Senior Economist in the Health, Nutrition and Population unit at the World Bank. Dr. Laura Di Giorgio is passionate about using evidence to inform decision making and finding customized solutions to countries' challenges.
