Support to Ratio for the project Best Essay Price

At its sitting on 28 March, the Student Council has decided to support with 400 CHF a proposal submitted by the student association Ratio, which fosters philosophical discussion through informative events open to the student community (even outside of the philosophy department) and to all interested parties. The project involves the awarding of two prizes worth CHF 200 each, as part of a writing competition open to Philosophy students of the Master in Philosophy at USI (first year) as well as students of the lSFI, Istituto di Studi Filosofici, facoltà di Teologia (3rd year).  The budget is intended to pay enrollment fees and costs for conferences, workshops, summer and winter schools. The Best Essay Prize aims to encourage student participation in international conferences and workshops, and internationally promote the Master in Philosophy as well as USI. Details of the decision
The Student Council supports the project in line with Corporation's aim to support the initiatives of the Student Associations.

Decision procedure
The Decision was taken by the Student Council unanimously. The credit corresponds to the request made by the association. It will be made available in the form defined in concert with the University when the actual expenses associated with the project are needed. The proponent Association is requested to prepare a final report on the project

Deadline for the Student referendum 
The deadline to launch a Student Referendum against this Decision is 14 April 2022.
