BPW-USI Professional Mentoring 24/25: Kick-off Meeting

On Tuesday 3rd December 2024, the kick-off of the sixth edition of the Professional Mentoring programme promoted by BPW Ticino in collaboration with USI's Equal Opportunities Service was held. The 23 pairs of mentors and mentees who will participate in the 24/25 edition of the programme were invited to attend the event.

The Professional Mentoring programme offers female Master's and Phd students targeted and individual professional counselling with the aim of supporting them in their entry phases into the world of work and giving them support in coping with challenges in the professional and work-life balance fields.

Professional Mentoring is a tool to foster personal and professional growth by stimulating the development of skills, self-esteem and self-awareness. 

The kick-off evening was enriched by a Lego Serious Play session coordinated by the eLab. This interactive activity allowed participants to get to know each other in a creative way, laying the foundations for a solid and fruitful mentoring relationship.

Professional mentoring is proposed as a key tool to support equal opportunities, helping young and future professionals to orientate themselves in the world of work, define their goals and build valuable relationships with experienced and established figures in their respective fields.
