Financial benefits for families

The Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), through its Equal Opportunities Service, supports employees and students who have limited financial resources and who, in order to reconcile family life and work/study, resort to extra-familial day care placement for their children aged between 0 and 3-4 years.

The financial aid recognised by USI corresponds to a sum equal to the subjective aid for RIPAM beneficiaries recognised by the Canton to the family for fostering their child while working or studying. The USI reimburses the applicant, for each child placed in a day nursery or with a day family, a sum equal to 100% of the Subjective Aid for RIPAM beneficiaries resulting from the monthly invoice for the placement.

The financial support is paid by USI directly to the applicant upon presentation of the detailed monthly invoice of the crèche or day care family and proof of payment.
