Date: 15 December 2025 / 12:30 - 14:00

Blue room Executive center - West Campus Lugano

The initiative “Women in Academia Support Lunch” will be dedicated to presenting the Academic Mentoring and Shadowing Program, as well as sharing experiences with Mentors and Mentees from past editions.

The Academic Mentoring Program offers early-career female researchers the opportunity to engage in a mentoring relationship aimed at guidance and advice for career planning, work-life balance, skill development, networking, and research-related guidance.

Participants will have the chance to be paired with a mentor, i.e., a resource person (professor, lecturer, or researcher) with expertise in the chosen field of activity.

PhD students and researchers who are regularly enrolled in the Academic Mentoring Program will have the opportunity to participate in the annual call for a Shadowing grant, a scholarship that allows them to spend one month at another university to collaborate with an expert active in their research field in a different academic environment (outside Switzerland), benefiting from a temporary reduction in their duties at USI for the duration of the grant.
