Company visit to Corriere del Ticino for mentees of the BPW-USI programme

On 28 November, some participants in the BPW-USI Professional Mentoring Programme had the opportunity to take part in a company visit to the headquarters of Corriere del Ticino. The initiative is one of the activities planned for the 2025-2026 edition of the programme.

During the visit, the mentees were able to meet journalists, editors and administrative staff at Corriere del Ticino, observing “behind the scenes” how a newsroom works: from news selection and management to editorial production and distribution. The aim was to offer a concrete view of the world of work, highlighting the challenges and skills required.

This direct experience is at the heart of professional mentoring: valuing lived experiences, offering support and guidance to young women entering the world of work.

BPW–USI Professional Mentoring thus confirms its role as a bridge between university and the world of work, making a concrete contribution to supporting women's careers and offering opportunities for networking and growth.
