The Equal Opportunities Service is pleased to share the brochure "Balancing Life, Care and Work". A practical guidelines, developed by Equi-Lab, and designed to help parents and caregivers navigate the rights, leave schemes, and support measures available in Switzerland.

The initiative aims to provide clear and accessible information to support the reconciliation of professional, family, and caregiving responsibilities, promoting greater awareness of the protections and opportunities available at different stages of working and family life.

The brochure is intended for parents, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about the tools available to balance private life, work, and caregiving responsibilitie, is available online as a practical information and guidance resource, and covers in particular the following topics:

• rights and protections during pregnancy and maternity;

• parental leave;

• leave for caregiving responsibilities;

• returning to work and work–life balance measures;

• financial support and services for families;

• the Swiss legal framework relating to work, care, and equal opportunities;
