WC All gender

You can now find WC All gender on all USI campuses. A project in line with i 2025-2028 USI Strategic Plan and the objectives of  2025-2028  USI Action Plan for Equal Opportunities, Inclusion and Diversity.

WC All gender  are open to all members of the university community: they respect different gender identities and meet the needs of people with disabilities, families and anyone who may feel excluded from traditional facilities. They do not replace existing facilities, but extend the range of services on offer, ensuring safety, comfort and barrier-free accessibility. Men's, women's and disabled toilets will continue to be available on all campuses. or the East Campus, the project was carried out in collaboration with the SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service.

The introduction of WC All gender represents a concrete step towards more inclusive, ethical and respectful campuses for all their members, improving the well-being and usability of spaces for the entire university community, and is in line with the measures already taken by the majority of Swiss universities ncluding UNINE, UNIL, UNIFR, UZH, EPFL, ETH and UNIBAS.

Most of the WC All gender on USI campuses are also accessible to people with disabilities, for whom toilets reserved for their exclusive use remain available.
