As part of the H.I.T. 2026 programme, an event open to all female academics at USI is organized the 1st June 2026. The event will focus on the theme “Inclusive Academic Leadership” and is organised in collaboration with USI’s Equal Opportunities Service.
The H.I.T. programme (High Potential University Leaders Identity & Skills Training Programme – Inclusive Leadership in Academia), promoted by the University of Zurich, is a national initiative aimed at female academics at Swiss universities and designed to develop academic leadership with a focus on inclusivity. The programme combines advanced training, networking, individual coaching and peer-to-peer discussions, with the aim of strengthening leadership skills and promoting change within academic institutions.
On this occasion, Prof. Heather Hofmeister (Goethe University Frankfurt) will deliver a keynote speech on the topic of “Inclusive Academic Leadership”, structured as an interactive session followed by a discussion with the audience.

- Followed by: standing lunch and networking
The event provides an important opportunity for networking and exchange among USI female professors and the 28 participants in the H.I.T. programme 2026 – female academics from universities across Switzerland – and the H.I.T. Alumnae of USI.
