Accessible events

Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) is committed to making its events accessible and inclusive, promoting active participation by both the university community and the general public.

For internal events, USI also strives to provide clear and accessible information materials and to use inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory language. 

USI campuses offer suitable venues for conferences, lectures, public lectures, ceremonies, and cultural events which, where possible, meet various accessibility requirements, including:

• easy access and no architectural barriers;
• reserved seating for people with reduced mobility (available upon request);
• accessible and inclusive restrooms;
• reserved parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (available upon request); 
• rooms equipped with adequate audio systems;
• classrooms equipped with assistive listening systems (available upon request); 
• access to campuses by public transportation.

To ensure appropriate arrangements are made, any specific accessibility requirements should be highlighted when booking spaces by emailing [email protected] or by notifying the event organisers during registration. 

During events, on-site staff is also available to provide support and assistance.
