Summer / Winter Schools
If you are interested in attending a Summer School, please bear in mind that only a maximum of ECTS points can be transferred. In particular, according to the ad hoc regulation for student mobility, students enrolled at the Faculty of Economics (both levels) can earn up to 6 ECTS points, whereas students enrolled at the Faculty of Communication sciences can earn up to 9 ECTS points, with a maximum of 30 ECTS points obtainable through mobility programmes.

The Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context, University of Lucerne, 4-9 June 2020

“Know how, act now” – Application is now open for the "Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context” held on June 4-9, 2020 at the Institute of Social Ethics ISE at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Lucerne. PhD/Doctoral and MA students from around the world and from different disciplines can apply to take part in building a global network for sustainable responsibility by participating in the “Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context”. They do this by demonstrating their interest in present and future ethical issues in a global context and by having specific plans on how they can achieve a positive effect by implementing the skills learned at the Summer University in their individual context and academic work, not to mention what they would bring to the global and interdisciplinary network of people involved in the fields of science and research.

We are using a nomination process to allow universities to select their most promising students. The order of nominations will be the main factor in our admission decisions, so please pay special attention to this. We limit the number of nominations to five students per university because of the limited capacity, intense interest in this program, and to maintain geographic and linguistic diversity that will improve immersion for all participants. The total capacity of the program is 40 students.

EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy Summer School, Prague, 25 July - 1 August 2020

The programme focuses on current issues that the European Union faces, with a special focus on the topic of climate change. European Summer School is organized under auspices of the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the Faculty of Social Science of Charles University in Prague.
The European Summer School under a title “Europe in a changing climate” will take place in Prague from 25 July to 1 August 2020. It will target issues of internal changes in European Union, Brexit, future of transatlantic relations, European strategic autonomy, climate trends in Western and Central Europe, migration and else.

Business Chinese Language Learning and Business Culture Immersion Program, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), 28 June - 25 July 2020

The program includes business Chinese language courses, English-given lectures on China’s economy and China’s business culture, field excursions, orientation and farewell events. Participants who pass the entrance exam will be granted with scholarship by the Shanghai municipal government and win waiver of tuition and accommodation fee. International students from various disciplines are invited to apply. No prerequisites are required; however, participants must be proficient in English and have a background with Chinese language learning (new HSK 3 level min), and at least 18 years of age at the beginning of the program.
