Within the framework of the project ‘SEN-SI Special Educational Needs - Strategies for inclusion in the University Schools of Southern Switzerland’ supported by Swissuniversities, the USI Equal Opportunities Service, in collaboration with the Gender and Diversity SUPSI Service and the SUPSI Teaching and Teacher Training Service (SEDIFO), is organising the training course ‘Inclusive university teaching - Personalised strategies, Special Educational Needs (BFS)’ aimed at all USI and SUPSI teaching staff.
The training course is structured over three half days with the aim of providing an introductory overview of the Special Educational Needs (BFS) of students in learning contexts. Based on the application of the principles of Universal Design for Instruction (UDI), the course aims to promote shared reflection on these principles and to offer practical examples that promote inclusive learning, taking into account the different characteristics of all students in the teaching and learning process.
The course will facilitate a synthesis of the key information that has emerged and the development of individual action plans. In this way, participants will be provided with some necessary tools to integrate the lessons learned into their daily practice, contributing to a more inclusive learning environment adapted to the needs of all students.
The course will be delivered in Italian.
