The shared space. Workshop on harassment prevention

The Equal Opportunities Service, in collaboration with Accademia Dimitri-SUPSI proposes, as part of the course "Interdisciplinary approaches to gender and diversity", "The shared space. Workshop on the prevention of harassment", open to the whole USI student and intermediate body.

Monday 12 May 2025, from 09:00 to 12:30, Foyer Aula Polivalente, East Campus, Lugano-Viganello

In this workshop, held by Angela Calia, performer and lecturer at the Accademia Dimitri-SUPSI, and Mathieu Horeau, PhD Researcher and lecturer at Accademia Dimitri-SUPSI, some simple practices of movement and body awareness from physical theatre will be explored, and related to the relationship between bodies, space and image.

Through theatrical exercises and with a participative and non-judgmental approach, participants will experience different possibilities of discovering, recognising and preventing possible risks of harassment, identifying their main elements. At the end of the practice, there will be a moment of dialogue and shared discussion on the experience and the questions and reflections that arise from it.

The workshop is part of a perspective that aims at raising awareness, informing and training in listening, respect and empathy towards others and their identity, necessary foundations for the well-being of relationships and the promotion of respectm inclusion and diversity.

The workshop will be held in Italian and English.

Notes:

• No previous experience in theatre or movement is required.
• Comfortable clothing and, preferably, flat shoes are recommended.
• It is not necessary to bring any materials other than pen and paper.
