As part of the H.I.T. Leadership Programme at the University of Zurich, a workshop entitled ‘Dealing with workplace conflict as a thought leader’ is being offered exclusively to female professors at Swiss universities.

The workshop combines the practical skills of an expert in workplace conflict management with the latest research findings, with the aim of helping us to better understand and manage conflicts in the workplace. The interactive sessions are designed to promote a change of perspective and greater self-awareness, recognising conflict as a natural and, in some cases, constructive component of professional dynamics.

It will also address some of the specific challenges of the academic context, offering concrete strategies for dealing with them.

The workshop will be led by Alexandra Efthymiades, Director and Co-Founder of Consensio, with nearly twenty years of experience in organisational conflict management and mediation. Alexandra holds two master's degrees, including one in organisational psychology from Columbia University in New York.

The event will take place on Friday 21 November from 10:15 to 15:00 in Bern with the following programme:

  • 10:00 – Welcome coffee
  • 10:15 – Introduction to the event
  • 10:30 – Keynote by Alexandra Efthymiades
  • 12:00 – Lunch and networking
  • 1:00 p.m. – Interactive session led by Alexandra Efthymiades
  • 2:30 p.m. – Conclusion and further networking opportunities
