La Pandemia Oscura - film

On the occasion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the USI Equal Opportunities Service and the SUPSI Gender and Diversity Service with the patronage of the City of Mendrisio invite you to attend the public screening of the documentary “La Pandemia oscura” by Paola Ghislieri. A follow-up roundtable discussion will provide an opportunity to learn, reflect, break the silence, and contribute to building a safer and more just community.

In Switzerland, 27% of women aged 15 to 49 experience violence from their partner. "La Pandemia oscura" is a documentary that exposes this often overlooked reality. Through interviews with experts and testimonies from survivors, the film highlights the severity and consequences of this crisis and explores support systems and preventive measures adopted to address it.
