Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) promotes a respectful, inclusive and safe working and studying environment for the entire academic community. Following approval by the USI Council on 23 May 2025, the Regulation I implementing the Code of Ethics (Chapter II: provisions on integrity in interpersonal conduct) are now into force. This Regulation completes the legal basis for protecting the personal integrity of all members of the USI community by defining the types of inappropriate behaviour and outlining the internal procedures for reporting such behaviors.

Dedicated training sessions are available to present the USI Code of Ethics and its implementing Regulations I. This offer is focused on presenting both general and specific aspects related to the application of the USI Code of Ethics and its Regulation I. It aims to equip individuals with practical tools for recognising, addressing, and preventing uncomfortable situations in the workplace and academic settings. It pays particular attention to identifying and managing behaviours that may undermine personal integrity, along with the intervention tools available to the entire university community.

All USI academic and administrative staff are invited to participate.

During these meetings, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Delve into the regulatory reference framework and the guidelines of the USI Code of Ethics
  • Understand and know how to recognise the mechanisms and the dynamics relating to behaviour violating personal integrity
  • Examine internal and external reporting procedures and available support resources
  • Understand the role of the internal and external contact person
  • Reflect on prevention and intervention strategies to promote a healthy and respectful environment

In order to provide more opportunities to participate, two slots are available for administrative staff (Italian language) and two slots for academic staff (one in Italian and one in English). You can sign up for one of the available slots according to the group you belong to.
