Bibliometrics, the Great Beyond of Science?

Istituto del software

Data: 9 Novembre 2023 / 16:30 - 17:30

USI Campus Est, room D1.15, Sector D

Speaker:
Michele Lanza

Abstract:
In this seminar I will address a number of seemingly simple questions, such as: What is a publication? What is a conference? What is impact? What are rankings? Does anyone actually care about those questions? We will see that the questions matter, and not only to researchers.
