The Swiss Society of Economics and Statistics (SSES) promotes and advances economic research in Switzerland by improving the collaboration between the domestic and international research community. An important focus lies also on the promotion of young economists by providing them with the appropriate platform to present their scientific work. Among its activities, the SSES publishes the Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics (SJES). With a publishing history of 152 years, the SJES ranks among the oldest established journals of economics world-wide.
The SSES is hosting its 2016 annual conference entitled
Inequalities - Causes and Implications for Economic Policies
at the Unviversità della Svizzera italiana, Lugano campus, from June 9th to June 10th, 2016.
